I feel so grateful. I started 4thQuarterFarm in January of 2019 after my husband, Lynn died of Alzheimer’s. I threw myself and his life insurance into growing cut flowers for the purpose of delivering them to seniors and caregivers in assisted living. So cut flower farmer grow tulips differently from the way you do it in your garden. The bulbs are planted close together like eggs in a carton in the fall. When they begin to color up in the spring, we pull the entire flower out bulb and all. They can be stored in the cooler for up to 3 weeks to stretch the time to offer them. Cool huh!
